Stephanie James is a Partner, Managing Director of Advisor Services and Senior Financial Advisor with Wescott, focusing on the preparation and ongoing management of client financial plans, annual financial updates and investment portfolio reviews, recommendations and implementation. Her expertise is in comprehensive financial planning, tax, cash flow, retirement planning, insurance and estate planning, portfolio analysis and investment policy development.
At Wescott, Stephanie is a member of the firm’s Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB) and Management Committees. The Management Committee oversees firm-wide initiatives, including business and talent development, growth opportunities, client service excellence and the optimization of technology and operational offerings. On behalf of the Committee, she leads the Financial Advisor Program, which focuses on advisor career development.
In addition, Stephanie is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee, which is responsible for the firm’s asset allocation models and investment strategies, and serves on the firm’s Portfolio Strategy Group, which oversees the firm’s dynamic investment strategies, ongoing due diligence of Wescott’s investment managers and asset allocation design.
Active in the financial community, Stephanie is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and is a Certified Financial Planner™.
She enjoys speaking at industry events and conferences about advisor career development and next generation trends in the industry. She is also a recipient of the Five Star Wealth Manager of Philadelphia distinction from Philadelphia Magazine.
When she is not focusing her time on her professional responsibilities and industry involvement, Stephanie enjoys sharing her talents with Philadelphia based non-profits, including Uplift Center for Grieving Children and The Ronald McDonald House.
Stephanie received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Saint Joseph’s University and completed her masters degree in business administration from Villanova University.
She resides in Springfield, Pennsylvania with her husband, Mike James, and their two sons.
