Sean M. Roberts

Partner, Chief Investment Strategist

Sean Roberts is Wescott’s Partner, Chief Investment Strategist, responsible for contributing to the development and oversight of Wescott’s asset allocation strategies, conducting detailed quantitative and qualitative investment research and benchmarking performance relative to market indices and relevant peer groups.  In collaboration with the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and Investment Research Group, he explores, monitors and researches investment strategies, managers and portfolio models for competitive analysis and consideration of adoption for client portfolios.

At Wescott, Sean is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.  The Management Committee oversees firm-wide initiatives, including business and talent development, growth opportunities, client service excellence and the optimization of technology and operational offerings.

He is also an integral part of Wescott’s Investment Committee, where he helps guide and create Wescott’s asset allocation models and investment strategies.  Sean also serves on the firm’s Portfolio Strategy Group, which oversees the firm’s dynamic investment strategies, ongoing due diligence of Wescott’s investment managers and asset allocation design.

Prior to joining Wescott, Sean was the Chief Investment Officer at Asset Planning Services, Ltd (APS).  There, he was responsible for investment strategy development and implementation for the firm’s corporate and individual clients.  As a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), he brings over 30 years of investment experience and expertise to the Wescott team.

A graduate of Temple University, Sean earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in both Finance and Economics.  Within the profession, he is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the CFA® Institute and Financial Analysts of Philadelphia.

Sean resides in Souderton, Pennsylvania.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S. which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
