Dave Rueter serves as Wescott’s Director of Operations. In his role, Dave works with senior leadership to determine and advance long-term operational strategies, oversees the firm’s technology infrastructure and is responsible for maintaining efficient and effective operational processess. He creates and implements forward-thinking operational initiatives and leads the tactical execution and change management of resulting projects and programs. He leads the firm’s operational team, which includes our technology and client service professionals. Dave is also an integral part of Wescott’s M&A team, directing the process and technology integraton.
Additionally, he is a member of the firm’s Portfolio Strategy Group, which oversees the firm’s dynamic investment strategies, ongoing due diligence of Wescott’s investment managers, and asset allocation design.
Dave brings nearly two decades of experience in the Asset Management and Financial Services space to Wescott. Prior to joining the Wescott Team, he was a Client Service Director with Envestnet. There he managed the operational relationships of some of the largest Independent Broker-Dealers on their platform. His role centered around relationship and project management, helping clients and team members drive strategic initiatives such as acquisitions, conversions, and program launches.
Some of his earlier experience includes helping to form SEI’s Wealth Platform Transition Management Team, which focused on the transition and mapping of advisory assets from SEI’s legacy site to their brand new Wealth Platform. In this position, Dave was able to build relationships with SEI’s high-net-worth advisors, along with developing and streamlining custom operational solutions for his clients as part of their transition. Also during his tenure with SEI, he partnered with their Sales Team to help facilitate onboarding and conversion opportunities for prospective Financial Advisors.
Dave received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Niagara University, where he was also a member of the University’s Men’s Tennis Team. Civically, Dave is passionate in his support of local animal rescues and causes devoted to children’s cardiac care.
He resides in Horsham, Pennsylvania with his wife, MJ, and their son.
