Partner and Senior Financial Advisor

Dave Lafferty is a Partner and Senior Financial Advisor with Wescott, and is responsible for the preparation and ongoing management of client financial plans, annual financial updates and investment portfolio reviews, recommendations and implementation.  His expertise is in comprehensive financial planning, tax, cash flow, retirement planning, insurance and estate planning, portfolio analysis and investment policy development.

Dave leads the quarterly peer-review process during which an advisor’s client matters are reviewed by another Wescott advisor.  He is a member of Wescott’s Management Committee, Compliance Committee and Investment Committee, which is responsible for the firm’s asset allocation models and investment strategies.  Dave also serves on the firm’s Portfolio Strategy Group, which oversees the firm’s dynamic investment strategies, ongoing due diligence of Wescott’s investment managers and asset allocation design.

Prior to joining Wescott, Dave was a financial advisor for more than 10 years with a local financial advisory firm in suburban Philadelphia.  He is active in several professional organizations, including the Financial Planning Association and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors; and has completed the Schwab Executive Leadership Program, which focuses on the key issues that can affect an advisory firm’s success and how to manage them effectively.  He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Uplift Center for Grieving Children.

Dave earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Drexel University and is a Certified Financial Planner.

Dave resides in Berwyn, Pennsylvania with his wife, Nancy Lafferty, and they have two children.
