Risk Profile Questionnaire

The Wescott Risk Profile Questionnaire (RPQ) is intended to provide guidelines to design your investment program.

Responses to these questions help your Wescott team guide you toward an investment portfolio best suited to assist in achieving your goals. Please answer each question to the best of your ability and choose the response that most clearly reflects your perspective.

The Wescott Rise Profile Questionnaire (RPQ) is intended to provide guidelines to help you design an investment program. It does not provide comprehensive investment advice on buying a specific stock, bond, or fund and as such, should not be considered the sole or primary basis on which you make investment decisions.

Risk is broadly understood as “exposure to danger, harm, or loss.” We each have a unique relationship to risk, however, driven by our thoughts, feelings, and experiences — and without regard to a definition.

Since comfortable degrees of risk can vary from person to person, the questions that follow aim to understand your feelings toward risk. Responses to these questions help your Wescott team to guide you toward an investment portfolio best suited to assist in achieving your goals.

Our staff of CFP®s, MBAs, JDs, and PH.D.s have helped design this question set, aiming to measure your risk tolerance as objectively as possible. You may notice some questions feel repetitive. In fact, they are — by design! Arriving at responses from numerous angles can more accurately identify your feelings toward risk and uncover anomalies.

Please take a few moments to complete this questionnaire, which has been thoughtfully crafted to aid you in a more successful investment journey!

Important Disclosures

The Wescott Risk Profile Questionnaire (RPQ) is designed to help you decide how to allocate your assets among different asset classes (stocks, bonds and cash). You are under no obligation to accept the suggested allocations provided by this questionnaire. The suggestions provided are based on generally accepted investment principles. There is no guarantee, however, that any particular asset allocation or mix of funds will meet your investment objectives. All investing is subject to risk, and fluctuations in the financial markets may cause the value of your portfolio to decline. Investments in bonds are subject to interest rate, credit and inflation risk.

This investment-planning tool is provided as a supplement to the information you have shared with Wescott Financial Advisory Group. Please note this tool does not provide comprehensive investment or financial advice. In applying the suggestions to your particular situation, you should consider your other assets and investments. As your financial circumstances or goals change, it would be our recommendation that you complete the risk profile questionnaire again to see if your suggested asset allocation has changed. By using this investment-planning tool, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the information above and that you agree to these terms and conditions.

The suggested asset allocations within the questionnaire depend on subjective factors such as your risk tolerance and financial situation. As a result, you should view them only as broad guidelines for how you might consider investing your savings. It is important to review historical returns of stocks, bonds and cash carefully over various holding periods to see if you can accept the level of risk in a given investment mix.
