Susan M. Green

Partner, Senior Financial Advisor and Director of Financial Planning Standards

Susan Green is a Partner, Senior Financial Advisor and Director of Financial Planning Standards with Wescott and is responsible for the preparation and ongoing management of clients’ financial plans, annual financial updates and investment portfolio reviews, recommendations and implementation.  Susan’s expertise is in comprehensive financial planning, tax, cash flow, retirement planning, estate planning, portfolio policy and analysis, and investment policy statement development.

She participates in the quarterly peer-review process during which an advisor’s client matters are reviewed by another Wescott advisor.  Susan leads Wescott’s DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging) Committee and also serves on the firm’s Portfolio Strategy Group, which oversees the firm’s dynamic investment strategies, ongoing due diligence of Wescott’s investment managers and asset allocation design.

Susan earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Villanova University.  She is also a graduate of Rutgers School of Law where she was the Associate Notes Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law & Religion.  She is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.  Susan is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Prior to joining Wescott, Susan was an associate at a Moorestown, New Jersey-based law firm where she focused on trust and estate planning.

She is a member of the Financial Planning Association, the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council.  With NAPFA, Susan is a member of the Leadership Development Committee, past Chair and President of their Northeast/Mid-Atlantic (NEMA) Region Board of Directors, and former Co-Chair of their Women’s Initiative Committee.  Most recently, she was one of the first industry professionals to complete NAPFA’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Training and Certificate Program. This program aims to provide resources and education around four specific DE&I topics:  culture, hiring practices, people and inclusion.

In addition to her work in the professional finance community, Susan is also an active volunteer with local non-profits. A long-time volunteer at Camp No Worries, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings, she is a current member of their Leadership Team, serving as their Camper Recruiter.  Susan also recently served on the board of her alma mater, Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls, in Northeast Philadelphia for over five years.

She resides in Delran, New Jersey.
